Loved the plot, I stayed up until after midnight(late for me lol) because I had to know what was happening. Where this one fell a little flat for me was the emotional connection with Marcella and Maddox, I’m hoping their relationship will develop more in book 2

Loved it - Cora and Danielle Lori are where it’s at in terms of mafia romance in my opinion!

fast-paced
Enemies (quite literally) to loves troupe, set between the mafic and a motorcycle mc just about sums up this fun, steamy read. Started book #2 this morning and all I want to do is sit and read. Cory Reilly, you just found yourself a new fan!

ok so this was still better than fragile longing. cora reilly has really fallen off. her books used to be so good but the last ones have all been duds. it’s so sad.
i put this one off for months because it wasn’t getting great reviews. i had really low expectations so i guess it was better than i was expecting. i mean two stars instead of one … not saying much.
i loved luca and aria. they were the first mafia couple i’d ever read about. so marcella’s story was a bit of a let down. i think cora reilly would have benefited if she wrote marcella with a mafia man… turning this to mc just didn’t feel like the right decision. but it’s her story.
i feel like this is a mafia series so why not stick with that. the chemistry/love was non existent with these two. i honestly didn’t understand why they wanted each other, it was purely physical. it was lacking character development, and a reason for them to be together. it just seemed like a poorly written/planned out book. not at all what i wanted for marcella.
honestly i don’t have much faith in CR anymore :’)
