dnf at about 20%. This was so heavy with history but not in a way that I normally enjoy. Was just not what I was expecting with this book and was putting me to sleep. Maybe I’ll revisit it in the future but it’s a no for me right now.

Say hi to ppl on street!

As somebody already generally aware of the effects of modern capitalism and digital technology on our health and well-being, this book did not present anything new or groundbreaking. That said, if you are not familiar with those topics, this is a good, quick crash course with actionable steps you can take to become aware of your habits.

Two takeaways that I am applying to my own life: conducting a “time audit” to be more mindful of how I spend my time, and scheduling designated “leisure time” to relax and…do nothing.

I think this is a good capture of the Zeitgeist immediately before we were collectively put in time-out.

I think it's immediately dated for coming out in sync with the pandemic shutdowns.

I think it's got a bit of privilege undermining  ome assertions.

All told, I'm glad I read this - I did get some good thoughts in line with a work reorganization I'm helping guide.
