This series gets better and better each book. I'm gonna be sad when the series ends. I recommend this series if these are the type of books you read. It is worth the read!!!
First of all, Maeve (FMC) is such a B.A.B.!! I read books 3 and 4 before 1 and 2, so I already knew she was awesome. Also, Cam is
3.5 ⭐️ I liked this couple a bit more than book 1, but I cannot stand when the FMC randomly turns into a badass leader and demands respect for a job she has no experience doing. Just because you marry a crime lord, doesn't make you qualified to be his equal partner in leadership.
The spice was spicy tho and I'm glad we got closure on certain plot points.

Could you possibly imagine being forced to marry the son of someone who wants your whole family unalived? Well, that is exactly the predicament Maeve McGowan finds herself in. Literally, Maeve and Cam’s story is the epitome of an enemy to lovers' dark romance. Also, I must say if you love forced proximity or one-bed tropes, you will love this book. I absolutely love how strong Maeve is despite her trauma and how she wholeheartedly stands up for what she believes in. Cam's character development is also amazing. His inner struggle and acceptance of not only himself but Maeve, was beautiful to read. As usual, this is a dark romance, so please check your trigger warnings.
