0_o my face when reading this book… i had read Esther’s story previously and HAD to read Meave’s story! I love the enemies-to-lovers with the figurative forced proximity of marriage. Although there wasn’t as much adventure as the last book, I loved how much time was spent focusing on Cam and Meave! I got butterflies whenever that boy opened his god damned mouth 👁️🫦👁️ The spice, the character development, the plot, ONCE AGAIN THE SPICE and just the love that Cam has for her was just amazing. I can’t wait to read the next few books in the series!!
Graphic: Sexual assault, Sexual content, Sexual violence, Sexual harassment

Mafia Romance
Enemies to Lovers
Fast paced
HEA
I want to start out by saying that I did really enjoy this book. I liked the idea behind the story and how the relationship grew between Maeve and Cam. There is a lot of spice between the couple even when they still hate each other.
The reasons why I gave it 4 stars is that there were some chapters that seemed like they were just filler. They didn’t actually move the story along or shape the characters any more and you could almost sue without them. Also this is classed as a standalone but things that happened in the first book were referenced a few times. Sometimes they gave you the info you needed but other times you just had to make an educated guess.
I enjoyed that Maeve was supposed to be this strong and stubborn woman who can go toe to toe with all of the men in her world ( I liked that) but then there were a couple times that she seemed very meek. I enjoyed how Cam was this cold front to everyone except his sister and then as the book continued you noticed that he began to melt for Maeve as well.
All in all I did enjoy this book very much.

Absolutely amazing read Eddie Campbell does not disappoint as always. Cam is so deliciously sexy and Maev is such a badass waiting to unfold and find her voice. Their journey isn’t a typical one but that makes them all the more addicting to read. Now off I go to grab the thirst instalment of the McGowan Series.
