Not really sure how I feel about this book right now. Holly is out of control. I'm sorry, if you aren't happy being married, leave. Don't have casual sex with anything breathing, thus putting your husband at risk for anything you might bring home. Amazing home, attentive husband, well toned body and pretty much anything you want....nah, don't feel sorry for her.

I do feel sorry for Missy, no mother wants to lose a child and I think this story is worse having to watch that child knowing she is dying almost from the moment she is born! Add on a husband who has been cheating on her for years while she has been almost on lockdown taking care of their child and it's just too much!

Andrea almost fades into the background of this story except for her one rebellious act of sleeping with her best friends husband. Not sure what to make of that. On one hand you feel like it didn't matter since Holly is sleeping with everyone and does not want to be bothered with her husband. On the other hand it completely upsets the idea of true friendship.

Triangles’ is the first adult novel that Ellen Hopkins has written and I think it was absolutely brilliant. ‘Triangles’ was the story of three women whose lives connect in multiple ways, some of those ways being through friendship, tragedy, and family. As these stories unfolded I really got pulled into their worlds and I couldn’t get enough. Each individual story is amazing in its own way.

Marissa’s story broke my heart but I think it was beautifully written and it touched me on many levels. I couldn’t imagine going through what her family had to and I realize so many families out there do, which is just so devastating. It’s a real eye opener and I hope more people will read this book if simply for that reason.

I feel for Andrea, she is a very strong woman who continues to get dealt a bad hand. However throughout it all she knows her daughter is all that matters, even when she stumbles into some really bad habits involving a friend’s husband.

Holly however is a bit of a wild child still and if I want to be completely honest there was a few times I wanted to smack her but her story was still very entertaining and sometimes bordered on being raunchy.

Overall this book was brilliant; the writing took some amazing talent and I was addicted to it. I finished it in two days. I literally couldn’t put down. Ellen Hopkins has done it again, if you haven’t read any of her books, you don’t know what you are missing. These will one day be considered classics as far as I am concerned. So if you haven’t read her work, do it now, trust me you won’t be disappointed.

‘Triangles’ was an amazing novel and I would recommend it to everyone.

No idea how to feel about this one! A concise summary is "everyone is cheating on everyone, everyone is having an affair, no one is trustworthy."

I think I listened to it at the right time because I was on a semi-long road trip and the interpersonal drama and raunchiness was sufficiently entertaining. I'm interested in checking out Ellen Hopkins' other work. From what I understand she typically writes YA so it will be interesting to take a downshift from this decidedly adult content.

My one hang-up is that listening to it as an audiobook led me to lose track of whose POV we were in at some points since the first person POV made it hard to differentiate sometimes.

It's funny, I used to think I don't like contemporary novels, and I still wouldn't say they're my favorite thing, but if there is enough soap opera levels of drama, I'm game.

I love Ellen Hopkins. This, however, is not my favorite work of hers. Still good, don't get me wrong! However when I picked it up, I was not expecting such graphic sex scenes (move over 50 Shades...)

I remember reading some of her books when I was younger, which I may reread. I love the way she tells a story thru verse/poetry. It’s such a unique way of writing. This story had 3 main characters and it takes you thru a summer about their marriages/relationships and parenting. The characters are in their late 30s to 40s. I enjoyed everyone’s story in their own different ways. I found each character and their relationship to be very realistic.
