“A beautiful thing is precious, no matter the price. Those who do not know how to see the precious things in life will never be happy...”

I don't know what it was, but I was utterly and totally consumed by this story.
Also, a wonderful writing style.

This was an interesting take on one of my favorite fairytales. I enjoyed it for the most part, but I didn't like the chat room scenes. That made it way too hoakie. I did like the interaction between Adrian and Lindy, though.

You just cannot get away with a modern urban version of Beauty and the Beast if you are keeping Beast's kidnapping of Beauty. Not cool.

It was way better than I thought it would be. It was funny and exciting.
I couldn't help but imagine the characters in the movie to the book but it never linked.
It linked way more to Beauty and the Beast. His anger, how gentle he was, how many room he had, his servents that helped him. The whole snow sense.
I loved the mordern twist to it like Kyle.... sorry I mean Adrain, talking to this group thread where it reminds you of the little mermaid and other little fairytales and how it didn't end as we thought it would.
It was sad how he ached for her and she didn't show it.
I don't hate Lindy. Usually I would hate her for acting so... Bell like, but other than that I liked how much she loved her dad and also cared about Adrain. She was a senseable character which is unusual because I never like the girl characters.
I found it grabbing my heart and squeezing every particale out of me when Adrian missed Lindy and how much he would suffer. It killed me with him.
I usually am the person the who would go for not happily ever after but I find Adrain deserving of it.
I would never wish that on anyone.
So I really loved it.

I love fairy tale retellings, and this one is better than most.

A cruel, vain high school boy, Kyle, gets his comeuppance when he ditches a witch at the spring dance. She turns him into a beast-- and you know the rest...

I liked the modern changes to this old story. Although, we all know how it ends, there were just enough twists to keep me interested.

The modern story of Beastly barely met my expectations. Still, it was good.

Honestly, this book BEASTLY deserves five stars, this book tells the modern version of "Beauty and the Beast". The story is about Kyle Kingsley, a high school boy who thinks beauty on the outside than the inside is the only thing that matters to get anything you want in life, who cares about the power of beauty on the outside and wealth. Until, his world is changed as being a BEAST, so he must find love before two years is up. Then, he meets Lindy, who is kind-hearted and loving, she becomes to love Kyle.

Beastly is a modern Beauty and the Beast. The book was not as good as I thought it would be, and was very close to the orginal. Kyle, the main character, changes so much thoughout the book! But, I still enjoyed him. My favorite character was the "witch" in the book. There are a few twists, but all in all its a very cute read

An interesting modern take on the fairytale. It was cute and a pleasant reading experience.

I read this a while ago, so my memory of my impression is a little fuzzy...I do remember that I would have preferred it if they had left some things out and cleaned it up a little. Other than that, it was okay. I'll probably read it again, but I wouldn't necessarily recommend it.
