I kind of viewed it as a book that parents can read to their kids to inspire them to do big things, but I was also inspired! I also had to do a lot of Googling while I read this, and since I like learning, it was an enjoyable read.
It's an okay book that can spark curiosity & interest (which is the point)
This book was an interesting and useful insight into some of the amazing women in our history. It gives an excellent glimpse into these women's lives and encourages you to look more into them, giving you books and memoirs by the people to read. Some of the stories I feel need to be taken with a pinch of salt, but overall very useful. I would love to see another one, as so many amazing women in our history didn't get mentioned in this.
Not exceptional but very informative and made me want to check some of the stories more in depth.
Love it.
So many women on this list, I had never heard of but I will definitely be reading about now.
From the short clip of their lives to the illustration, it's a must read.

This book was really inspiring. I hadn't heard of some of these women until I read the book. All of their stories were very unique and interesting. I loved the art next to each of the stories, very beautiful. For some reason after reading this I wanted to go kick someones butt. Is that a side effect of reading the book?
I appreciate the succinct summaries that lead me to learn more about each woman on my own. It's an inspiring book but it's also sad that I don't recognize many of the women listed, I wish that the American education system did a better job teaching us about them!
Bad Girls Throughout History is another book by Ann ashen that chronicles the lives of women. These women, however, are known for being rebellious or breaking the status-quo in history. Shen included women such as Joan of Arc, Cleopatra and Joan Jett!
⠀⠀
The selection of women in the book was incredible! They were very diverse in their time periods, ethnicities, and reasons as to why they were ‘bad’. However, I did find this one slower to get through and not as intriguing as Shen’s other book, Legendary Ladies. Maybe it’s because I was in the mood for something fantastical, like goddesses, or I just heard about some of these ladies so much that I could recite was the passage was going to say. Overall, it was an enjoyable book and maybe if I had read at a different time when I was in the mood for history I would have enjoyed it a lot more.

Few errors noticed, specifically one that claims Sally Ride was the youngest in space despite a few pages before featuring Tereshkova who was both the actual youngest and first woman in space.
Beautiful illustrations and loved reading about so many powerhouses. Would love focusing more on historical figures and women’s rights and civil rights heroes.

Good introductions to 100 fascinating women in history but you're better off doing more in-depth research as the summaries in this book tend to be sugar-coated.
