This is the first Nicolas Sparks book that I've read and it won't be the last. The story is simple but exciting. He draws out every emotion and leaves you wanting more but completely satisfied. I couldn't put The Rescue down and literally stayed up all night saying ”One more chapter then I'll sleep”.
When I first started to read this book I thought it was terrible. It wasn't until 200 pages in that I got hooked. I'm very opposed to it's praise of ABA, but aside from that it was a pretty enjoyable book. Not a tearjerker, bummer.

Proving that I really don’t like Nicholas Spark’s novels I found this to be predictable, overly sentimental rubbish.

The Rescue is not one of my most favourite Sparks books but it was an easy read. I could see what was coming for the characters from a mile away. If the side characters had some more depth to them this could have been a great book, but instead it was just average.
I enjoyed this book. Wasn’t anything crazy good but it was decent
"Did you hear that Mitch, your mom thinks you are beautiful". Instant smile at the last line! Not my favorite Sparks book but I liked it. The characters were likable.
