Very slow moving to start. Felt like it took forever to get through the first 2/3rds of this book as it was a lot of character development but if you make it through that - finished the last 1/3rd in one night. So many feels while reading and definitely made the slow start worth the read in the end!

The book didn’t grab me emotionally so I found myself not reading it then reading to finish. I had 6% left to finish and I just COULDN’T do it. I will check out other Sparks books but if they’re like this book or The Notebook (the story is toxic af people) then I will watch the movie adaptations as Dear John was palatable.

I don’t typically lean towards Nicholas sparks but I was pleasantly surprised  by this book!

Acho que é meu fav do nicholas

My goodness Nicholas Sparks does it again. He is just so brilliant at writing love stories that really get to you. From the first page I was gripped and wanted to know more about the characters that I really really cared about. Fantastic.

I picked up this book thinking it would get me out of my reading rut, Nicholas Sparks usually does, and I was severely underwhelmed. I always enjoy Sparks’ books but this one droned on and on about basically the same thing for the first 300 pages. The last 40 pages were redeeming but the storyline could have been so much stronger. Probably one of the most boringly written books I’ve picked up this year.

Such a wonderful book!
