This was a super quick read! I enjoyed the storyline and was truly shocked at
mitch’s death and the big argument with Taylor.
I did find it interesting how Taylor tried to save everyone in his life while being so secretive about the fire. I enjoyed the roller coaster of his relationship with Denise and the ending was very sweet.

I enjoyed this book, but it made me mad a lot. It definitely does not go the way you want, but it is still a good story.

A perfect little hidden Gem this novel was one of the first Nicholas Sparks books I read it had me hooked until the very last page

Not my favorite of Nicholas Sparks's books but not bad. A little corny but in true Sparks fashion, all tied up in a nice romantic bow by the end. Nice easy summer read.

For most of this book, I believed it deserved 3 stars. It wasn’t until,
Taylor’s fight with Mitch
that I had considered giving it a different rating. I am not sure what it is about Nicholas Sparks’ writing, but he is always able to make his books seem more than just a dumb romance novel. Perhaps it is because he actually gives his character’s flaws and a life outside of the romance itself.
Most of this book was on the side of a slow pace, except for the fires. I couldn’t put the book down whenever there was an accident or a fire and Taylor was involved. I totally didn’t see
Mitch’s death coming, and I was so surprised by it especially since the fight had happened only a couple of pages before.
I loved how Kyle was at the forefront of Denises’s concerns. I often find books where people mention they have a child, but it barely ever comes up again (like in the Great Gatsby) to be so unrealistic.
I suppose this book does have many tropes and stereotypes, single mothers not wanting to let people into their child’s life, a guy who doesn’t want to open up about the past, friends, and relatives telling the two of them that they fit perfectly together. I still loved the book nonetheless.

This one was just okay. I'm a Sparks fan, but this one didn't really grab me. Too predictable.

My favorite book by Sparks. I am a big fan because it is so close to home for me. My son did not speak his first words until he was over 2 years old. I poured my heart and soul into my son's speech. So I felt for the mother in this story. I will alway have this book on the top of my favorites list!!!
