Lots of tids and bits of zen philosophies. I don't remember most of them now anymore.

But I do remember one story. There was once a monk who was happy, but then got diagnosed with cancer which made him stressed. But after a while, he was happy again. When asked what happened, he replied: I am now happily living with my cancer. He simply accepted things as it is.

In a recent holiday, a stone had cracked my windscreen out of nowhere. I was feeling stressed since the crack was growing. After worrying for a while, I remembered the story from above and thought, if that guy can live happily with cancer, a cracked windshield is nothing compared to that. My mind instantly relaxed a bit more and I was able to let go of my worries.

It's incredible what your brain picks up from reading a book. I can't remember anything else, but that story got stuck somehow.

A nice reminder, but it's pretty basic and very repitious. I'm not sure if I took something new from this.

It’s concise, to the point and beautifully illustrated. A good book to pick up when you are feeling down. Turn to one of the pages, read and apply it.

Audiobook (2 hours). I really enjoyed this book that focused on simple living, mindfulness, and zen. The audiobook was easy to listen to but I think I would have benefitted more from going through a paper copy and taking time to reflect on each tip the author shared. I’ll probably end up buying a copy of this book to keep in my library, as I can see myself going back and reflecting on this again and again.
