adventurous mysterious tense medium-paced

The story of ambitious people, deceived families and medical experimentation. Smoothly written, this is a straightforward read with interesting moral dilemmas for the reader to consider. Always good value, Ken Follett can be relied upon to provide a racy thriller.

It's almost 6:00 am and I spent the whole night reading!
This is definetely a page turner and even though there are a couple of outdated tech references the book is really entertaining.
I like how Follet unravels the story, it definitely has a good pace. The carachters are brilliant although there were moments when I wanted to kick them, granted they were few.

If you like thrillers you might want to give this one a try

Such a great author, such a great storyteller! Follett has never failed me! Another intriguing thriller set in the days before social media. Dr. Ferrami is doing groundbreaking work studying identical twins who have been separated at birth. Only thing is, what if there are more than two of them? What if a small group of big shots want her to shut up about it? Read it to find out what is going on! It‘s worth it!

Good premise but I felt like the writing was more elementary than I’m used to from Ken Follett

Good story

The concept of this novel is intriguing and the plot is exciting. However, a good bit of it was simply unbelievable; not only the more outlandish occurrences, but the conversations and thoughts the characters have. Some of these seemed very forced as the author tried to supply the reader with technical information. There were a lot of very misogynistic attitudes, as well, that seemed very outdated. I know the book was written 23 years ago... maybe that’s why?

Ken Follett is one of my favorite authors. He has a way of making situations which I could never imagine seem real. Sadly, that's not even close to the case here. Taking the outdated science out of the equation, everything about this premise was absurd. Throw in the fact that the dialogue was incredibly cheesey, the heroine was unlikable, and the antagonists were cliched as hell and you have a novel that I can't believe was written by the same guy. Overall, a disappointing journey into the absurd.

Yep; my kind of thriller. Not too gory and tied up neatly (if not realistically) at the end. Thanks, Ken, for good read.

This book is dated. There are many misogynistic and chauvinistic behaviors that I just had to stop reading.
