It is very interesting information, but it could have been written to be more accessible for the general public. It was also very long. I would preferred a shorter and simpler book on the subject.
Moderate: Death, Eating disorder, Fatphobia
Such a well-researched, well-documented, informative book on how to incorporate a more diverse set of plant-based foods into your diet in order to extend lifespan and prevent some of the most preventable killer diseases in the West such as diabetes, hypertension, stroke, etc. while also having fun and enjoying your meals. Truly a life-changing read for me, very accessible and straightforwardly written, provides such a wealth of balanced options without feeling so overwhelming. Full of great resources for continued referencing and helpful diagrams, charts, and... most importantly... a solid 1/4 of the book is just references from medical journals and studies, which as a science girly, is the easiest way to earn my respect and trust as a reader. Absolute perfection
Basically pointless to read without taking notes, still learned more than I new before.

Fantastic content, fantastically readable (er, digestible?). The book provides evidence for adopting a whole food, plant-based diet without shaming the reader. There’s lots of “may” and “could” and “why not try?” language that might speak of uncertainty - but one appreciates both that the science isn’t being overstated AND that the advice on offer is abundantly logical: eat more goddamn veggies. except the advice is framed in a more encouraging and empowering way than just yelling or evangelizing. Cruciferous family, make yourself at home!
