Shut Up and Kiss Me
By: Lauren Blakely
Narrated by: Julia Whelan, Jason Clarke
Series: Happy Endings, Book 2

Books about food. What could be better? I know, a romance written by Lauren Blakely featuring food! Now we are talking. This series has that feel good romance vibe, and I am loving it! This one is especially fun, as I love to watch youtube videos about restaurants and recipes. Emerson and Nolan are trying to hit it big by getting on the youtube home page with their food blog. While they both would love the break and the money, there is so much more to their relationship though. But do they even realize it? A trip to Vegas, a collaboration with some old women, and a couple that is easy to relate, this listen was perfect! I fell in love with this friends to lovers story and it gave the best happy ending!

Julia Whelan and Jason Clarke. I don't need to say more. These two amazing performers bring all the feels to your heart. Whelan has a voice I could listen to all day. She knows Emerson, and shows us all her feelings, her ambition and her passion. Clarke is so good as Nolan. He gives us the uncertainty with his feelings shining through. It's the best kind of listen with an amazing team.

Shut Up and Kiss Me is the 2nd book in the Happy Endings series by Lauren Blakely. Can 2 best friends find and keep a forever relationship and work together? Nolan and Emerson are 2 best friends that rate a variety of restaurants or food trucks for their YouTube channel show. As Nolan and Emerson navigate their way through a YouTube contest and a Food Channel competition for a TV show these two also navigate the waters of a possible relationship. As always Lauren writes with depth, love, and heat. The heat level in Shut Up and Kiss Me is about four flames high! Both Nolan and Emerson definitely know what they want between-the-sheets and they go get it! Julia Whelan and Jason Clarke narrate this awesome story. The variety of voices both of these voice actors are capable of is wow! I love the deep timbre of Jason’s voice. I’ve become quite partial to the MPOV. Julia Whelan is super talented as well with the diversity of voices she brings to the story. I just loved it all around!! I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. *****

Lauren Blakely just keeps giving us stories with multidimensional characters who you can’t stop yourself from falling in love with them. And fall in love is exactly what I did.

Emerson and Nolan are YouTube food bloggers, the best of friends and maybe something more? This is a great story and so fun to watch these two work through their feelings and get a glimpse of what their future could be.

There are so many fun characters in this story, some we’ve met before and some newbies, but they are all great. I totally sound like a fan girl here, but I have read a lot of Lauren’s stories and they never disappoint, so go grab this one, I promise you will love everything about it!

Lauren Blakely graces us with a flirty foodie friends to lovers romance that left me hungry for more Emerson and Nolan. I adore this book and this couple. With its fun innuendos and top notch banter, Shut Up and Kiss Me put the biggest smile on my face. It also further justified my stance that the forced proximity/one bed trope is superior. The longing, the passion, the tension, this book had it all.

I really liked Emerson and Nolan together. Co-host on an online food review show, they balance each other out wonderfully.
Their chemistry is evident on and off the screen. When an opportunity arises to take their show to a streaming service, they work harder to make it happen. Growing closer, sharing secrets and kisses in the process.

As I said, I adored this book. Easy to read, red hot chemistry, lovable characters, Lauren Blakely delivers another delightful read that's not to be missed.

Redeemed

This book started off great but, then seemed to drag in the middle. I had to make myself finish. The last couple of chapters redeemed the book for me though.

This was best friends to lovers PERFECTION. Emerson and Nolan were so much fun. These two are best friends AND coworkers on their up and coming YouTube channel. Trying to manage making their YouTube venture a full time gig with their growing more-than-friends feelings is a challenge for them but it was so fun watching them try. I laughed, I teared up, and fell in love with these characters. I cannot wait for the next in the series! Highly recommend this one.

This book was such a cute, fun read!

Emerson and Nolan are friends from college and host a food review show on YouTube together. They kissed once, years ago, but have remained friends and co-hosts since. Little do they know, that kiss has plagued them both ever since. When they head to New York to audition for a show, their feelings become too much to ignore.

This was cute, funny, and spicy. I wish there was a little more development of their feelings for each other - not just hey, we have chemistry but it was a quick and fun read.

Shut Up and Kids Me is an innuendo filled romp between two best friends that are trying to make all their work dreams come true. I really enjoyed the banter, and the moments when truths were shared, between Emerson and Nolan—they have amazing chemistry! As a reader, I could feel how torn they were about keeping certain boundaries for fear of messing up a good thing. That good thing being their online food review show, which has the potential to move up to the next level. I love that the author once again had a core group of friends return for several scenes, really cementing how important these friendships are to this group of people.
With low angst, high heat, and some great laugh out loud moments, this latest book is a sure hit for fans of the friends to lovers trope.

The audio version is excellent, too!

Another fun Lauren Blakely rom-com! I always enjoy her cast of characters and am looking forward to Jo's story next.
