Such a cute YA romance book!! 🤍

3.5
This is pretty cute overall. I think it needed a little more pages to develop the story.

You can read this as a standalone, but the first book does give context to the fandom universe. I do enjoy the fandom aspects of this series overall though. I think Ashley Poston did great with the Beauty and the Beast set up take. It worked really well for me and is a favorite trope.

This book was a nice way to end out the trilogy of romances that came about from "Starfield."  I loved the nerdy little world that was created in this series, between the convention scene, movie sets and the castle house from this book.  The characters fit well together, and this was a cute conclusion.

I enjoyed this book overall and how it was a combination of Beauty & the Beast, a dash of Star Wars and a general love of fan fiction.

Would definitely recommend to a teenage girl/ people who enjoy media made for teenage girls!

For a book I went into wanting to make fun of/ have a good laugh at a cheesy romance, there was a surprising amount of classy and good representation of queer folks and nerd communities. I'm going to be honest, some parts of the flow of the book made no sense, and I made many 'leaps of faith' to get through it, but it was good enough I finished it in a day! This kinda felt like a Disney Channel Original movie but way more inclusive and diverse characters. I did not expect the thing with the dad either. I saw the 'twist' but so did the main character which I thought was funny.

Not as smooth a read as Geekarella but the characters are endearing and the movie quotes/fandom keep my inner nerd smiling. 3.5, beginning was slower for me but then it caught me and who doesn't love a beauty & the beast story.

Another adorable and very unique re-telling on a classic fairytale. Ashley Poston has a way of writing her characters in such a way that you can relate to them and you fall in love with them. Her writing is so warm and cozy, and it's the kind of writing that you never want to stop reading. I love this little series of books, and though I read them out of order and have one left to read, I hope there will be more to come.

This was a very predictable YA read, IMO. I alternated between enjoying the way the author wove in the comic-con bit andb being annoyed by it. I thought the male narrator did a good job.
