It was an easy and lighhearted read but way too much geek talk for me. Conventions, cosplay and sci-fi, all things I'm not too much into. Also, I found the writing style a bit cringe. It was trying to be a bit too hip/woke overusing specific phrases in my opinion.

3.5. ⭐️

A little too cheesy and fairytale for me. I know it’s aimed at people a lot younger than me so I won’t judge it too harshly. Overall a wholesome little read.

Bookish and the Beast is the third installment of the Once Upon a Con series. In it, you will meet Rosie and Vance. Now these two were really something and all kinds of adorable. Even though they took a while to state their feelings and such. This fact alone didn't stop me from shipping them after they first met. No sir it didn't.

Now with any romance book, there's bound to be some kind of crazy drama. This book did not shy away from any of it. Mostly because of Garrett which isn't that surprising since he was really awful. He would not take no for an answer and I just wanted to kick him in the nuts.

In the end, this was definitely a really cute read that I needed in my life. Especially with all the crazy work meetings today. I can't wait to read the next book that Ashley writes.

Beauty and the beast retelling

I waited months for this continuation of the Starfield universe and was not disappointed. It's light and fluffy and brimming with nerdy absurdity in an accepting and inclusive universe of charming, queer/non-binary characters. A single-sitting read, ideal for a rainy afternoon.

I LOVE beauty and the beast retellings!
I LOVE howls moving castle!!
So when I saw them do the iconic howl scene this was an automatic 5 stars!
But there's more!
The characters, the humor, the book crossovers, the cuteness, and the redemption arc combined made for such a fun read!

4.5 STARS!

RTC, but this book will be released worldwide tomorrow. I can't wait for the rest of the world to not only meet Rosie and Vance, but also meet our beloved characters from this series!

It's all kind of mushy with all your favorite romcom tropes -- so of course, I LOVE IT!
