Wings what??

Can’t wait for the final book! Illara went from 0 to angel real quick. Totally unexpected for her to finally get some wings.

We begin with Ilara, who is with Drachu on the islands. I'm sad she had to leave Prince Norivun behind. But things didn't happen as they were supposed to, and I want to know why.

Interestingly, this third book is a dual POV, whereas the first two were single POVs. We do get Norivun's point of view in this book. He is seething and, without a doubt, has a right to be, but damn if I don't love when he gets angry.

The Gods are brought into this story, and the Lochen Fae have a different way of life than the Solis Fae. The story gets suspenseful as Prince Norivun searches for Ilara, who is on an adventure of her own. Neither knows what will happen; instead, they live by moments and clues.

This story is a fairytale retelling of Ilara's powers. It is action-packed and adventurous. While one issue is resolved, others are still hanging. Still, at least we get a loving, happy moment between Ilara and Prince Norivun.

This book does end on a slight cliffhanger, and the fourth and final book in this series has yet to be released.

I absolutely love how far Ilara and the Prince have come. In this story, they go from separated, heartbroken, and determined. The author indeed created the perfect opposite characters to capture your heart. They may be Fae, but the natural powers are out of this world. The suspense continues as they drive to right the wrong in Solis and, of course, have their happy ever after.

Good, but not as good as the previous two.

The stakes were high at the end of Book 2. Ilyra and her sister were forced to run. The arc where they encountered Drachul was probably the best part of the book and things went downhill after. The story moved a bit too fast after this as things were happening only because the characters needed to do something within these 4 weeks before Norivun had to marry.

Novirun reunited with her almost within a day. Drachul soon became the next baddie and disappeared to do bad guy stuff. Well since we didn't know what to do with him at the moment, let's go figure out this orem business. And since we had time to kill, let's complete the mate bond thing. Since we had to wait for our contract to return with answers, let's go kill Drachul (the fight was pretty anticlimactic, I might add). The Drachul arc could have been developed better and not used as a mere filler to fill the time.

Oh, and now that we figured out what was going on with the orem, we would return to the castle for the final confrontation.

This book suffered from the sequel syndrome where things happened just to fill the time. I wanted to stop reading during the "waiting around" period, but I was now committed to the characters and their story and had to stay to find out where they ended up.

The smut was good though. Probably the only positive in this particular book. But I was hoping for more plot than smut (which was what we got in the previous two books!)
