Really easy read, and easy to keep going onto the second book.
I did find it cringe how || he kept calling her baby while they were getting it on, which happened a lot! || I've never really found something that gave me the ick like that did..
⭐⭐⭐.5 still, kept me hooked and I want to continue the story..

I really enjoyed this book. Now I'm looking to read the next book.
This isn't exactly a bad book - BUT, it definitely wasn't my favourite one. Granted the author tackled some difficult subjects, however, that didn't redeem the rest of the book for me. I get frustrated with the same old books with the same main character (female) that's perfectly happy to get basically abused by their male counterpart. I might consider finishing the series if the reviews favour it.
Terrible. I see what the author was trying to do with handling the very horrid trauma for the MMC but the storyline was very weak and the FMC was pathetic.
The start of an amazing story! There are a few twists I didn't expect. I would have loved it to be longer but there are a lot of books to get through at least
This book was super boring, I didn't care about the characters or the plot and not a lot happened. Talon's flashbacks were really sad to read, but didn't add much to the story, and bringing back one of his abusers at the end just felt wrong. Jade was also there, but really could have been any other woman. She doesn't seem to have any goals or wants in the entire book except for Talon who she had just met. They don't really have a lot of chemistry and I hated all of their sex-scenes, especially what they said to each other, it just felt really weird and made me uncomfortable. The writing was fine most of the time, but it got very repetitive with the characters having the same thoughts over and over again. The book also didn't really have an ending, nothing was really resolved. I get that it's the start of a series, but each book still needs to have a satisfying end.

No. Just NO. The first three chapters, went good, had great potential and then, it went off the rails so fast! This book also ended on a cliffhanger and I simply could care less what happens to either of these characters.
I LOVED THIS BOOK. I couldn’t put it down. I’m not a huge fan of a slow-burn that takes forever to get interesting. This book has kept my interest every single page from the get go. Going back to Barnes and Noble to get the second and third ASAP!
Not really sure i like this series.... it isn't the trauma from his childhood, it is everything else. It is difficult to explain right now.
