Thought provoking, which I love about a book. Prose was a bit too romance-novel-like for me to give it a five. But highly recommend for those who enjoy a story told for philosophical reasons.

. The Midnight Library and this story are vastly different, but relatable. The author does a great job with the "replays" and mixes up the plot lines. Interesting. The big problem I had was the fact that 2 of the characters and their memories/dates/events/specifics was too convenient. It was a big part of the story (.....or at least one of the "replays", but disbelief double secret suspension was a thing). Not "explaining" things was also a big plus.
A great read.

4.2⭐

If you could live your life over again, and again, and again, what would you do different? I can't imagine everything I would try doing or how hard it would be not to try and explain what I am going through to everyone around me.

As soon as I read the premise of this book, I knew that I would enjoy it before even opening it up. This genre aligns with just about everything I love about a book. It was heartbreaking, imaginative, unique, and invokes so many feelings with each passing chapter.

I would definitely recommend this to new or experienced readers. I can't pinpoint an exact reason as to why I didn't rate it 5 stars but by the time I was finishing it, it just didn't feel like a 5 star read for me.

*Book Club Read*

This was not the book for me. The MMC character had little to no character development, and the theme was loose if it existed at all. I wouldn’t recommend this book. I gave it 2 stars for having never read a book with a similar plot before.

This book, based on the concept and synopsis, should have been a home run for me, but unfortunately I just couldn't connect well with the main character or his attitude. I also think that some of the choices made by the characters and the emotionally charged situations they were in felt somewhat ridiculous and tended to fall flat for me.

Imagine dying in your 40’s and waking up and you’re 18 again! What would you do differently?

This book was so different to anything I’ve read before. So intriguing and thought provoking. This should be made into a movie ASAP! I can’t believe it hasn’t.

There was a point in the middle of the book where I wanted it to hurry along a bit, but other than that I devoured this and was left with a tear (or two) in my eye at the end.

Sadly. The author died in 2003 and was working on a sequel at that time.

While reading this book, I found myself recognizing a lot of threads that were expanded on in other time-travel books I read this year.
