This was a nifty little book! I really liked a lot of the points Davis made, especially the bit about how balancing "the workload" as a couple should perhaps be more of a focus on balancing rest than work. It really shifted how I thought about shared work and households. I also really liked how a lot of the tips she made for accessible ways to complete care tasks were already things I'd been considering or coming up with on my own. It definitely helped me feel validated in some of the approaches I've been taking.
I can definitely understand some people's perspective that this "approach" or thought process is too permissive or passive, but I think everyone's different, and this approach would for sure work for a decent amount of people that it's relevant to. I'd love to potentially get a physical copy of this book after this!

This was great. A little repetitive at times, but that's okay. I think it might even be useful for some folks that don't have ADHD.

This has been recommended on a few podcasts I listen to as helpful to assist in keeping a minimally cluttered/ clean house. I'm very much on this kind of kick and thought this might help me keep the momentum going, so I listened to now on audio.
Overall, I don't think this book is for someone where I am right now. The main tenet of this book is ensuring people know "care tasks are morally neutral" and focuses primarily on taking the shame out of the motivating factors for keeping a tidy space and how to take baby steps to get started. This is not currently something I'm struggling with so this largely felt unhelpful to me, but could see how this could be a lifeline for someone who really is in the thick of these sorts of feelings.

This book has given me the permission I needed to accept that my home only needs to be functional and not perfect. I already feel so much better and have used some of the suggestions presented. The book talks a lot about keeping a home while being a parent but the author does acknowledge that everyone might not have kids, I don't. Really all types of people can find something useful in this book.
