Ehhh, first two were so damn good, this one dragged along. I felt disconnected from the new characters and didn’t feel the same excitement as the first two. Hoping this is the only dud in the series.

I was getting near the end of this book when I realized either this isn't the last book in this series (like I thought), or it was going to have an abrupt and unsatisfying ending... Thank goodness it was the first one! Can't wait to read the conclusion to this epic series!

OKAY UM

LUKAS IS EVERYTHING. YVAN WHO??

No I’m serious. Lukas was my main main sassy spicy man in this. Elloren is very lucky to be so surrounded by all these yummy men.

Things I loved about this book
1. Elloren coming into her power and Lukas basically tough loving her into it. She really needed it and he delivered
2. Finding out that those necklaces the Alsfigr elves give to their people manipulate their minds. WTF. Poor Wyntyr

Do I recommend this book: 👍👍👍
Will I read the next book in the series: 👍

The Black Witch series is an absolute gem! The characters feel so real, the magic is captivating, and the romance pulls you in completely. It’s the kind of series that sticks with you long after you’ve turned the last page. Definitely one of my top reads this year. I can’t recommend it enough!

 can't remember

I can't give this book 5 stars on the first read. I hated where the author took it for most of the book. Ellorean still acts like a child who needs protecting and I hate her with Lukas.
I could guess what was going to happen in the end and it just made me sad. On the other hand I can see how these experiences will shape her.
The author does not follow the usual path of making her heroine very powerful and capable at least within 2 books.
Lots of action and was torn between not wanting to read it, and not wanting to put it down. She is definitely keeping me guessing. I feel like it is all going to go to shit with the prophecy lol.
Looking forward to the rest of the series.
