Well, I'm the first to say that the bikers are AWESOME but there ... HUGE disappointment >< I loved the other books by this author but here ...
What particularly bothered me :
- super abrupt transitions (the worst I think is the first scene of sex / cemetery ><)
- the hyper macho biker mentality (when I was reading Sebastian's sometimes condescending speeches ... SERIOUSLY ???)
- the incoherence of the characters sometimes (Sebastian: "Well, why is she angry at me when I had an unknown girl in my lap ??" Baylee: "My car is not working, so I'm going to walk for miles while I'm pregnant")
- Johnny's education ... On what planet do we let a kid do trampoline alone ?? On what planet is calling his girlfriend "bitch" in front of his kid is right ??
- the fact that they argue for nothing and reconcile in two seconds
In short, I was disappointed ...

Get. A. Fucking. Proofreader.
I've read fanfics with fewer word usage, spelling, continuity, capitalization, and punctuation errors. I'm pissed that I spent money on a book that had real potential but threw me out of enjoying the story with constant errors.

This is one of the few books that I didn't read reviews for before reading and been thankful for it. Previously I had read Lani Lynn Vale's Boomtown, and while enjoyable it just didn't quite hit that mark. Lights to my Siren is everything that Boomtown wasn't for me, the POV's were clearly labeled and once the book starts it grabs your interest and keeps it!
Sebastien and Baylee might as well be from different sides of the tracks for all that they have in common. Baylee is a paramedic and the daughter of a Police Chief and has a brother on the Police Force, a brother who meet Sebastien years ago and does NOT like him. Sebastien is a single father who works in a fire house and the VP of the Dixie Warren MC. (Doesn't sound so different with there line of work but their backgrounds are miles apart.)
When Sebastien and Baylee meet the attraction is instant, instead of jumping right into bed though they take a few weeks to get to know one another. By no means are they a perfect couple (which is refreshing) they have normal arguments and problems that couples deal with, but with Sebastien being closed off about the his life in the MC both of them have to make a decision on how much they can trust the other.
Another plot point in the book is an arsonist who is burning down apartment's, conflict at fire house comes to a head when the Station Chief refuses to compare notes with other distracts where the fires are taking place. Sebastien is eventually forced to go over his head which eventually leaves him as acting Station Chief.
Over all this book has everything that I look for in a romance, Sebastien's son Johnny has to be one of the cutest kids around! I'm really looking forward to continuing on with this series, hoping that Kettle's story is just as good! 5 Stars

I loved Sebastian. He is all man without being a total dick. He's a firefighter, single dad, a member of the local MC, and is certainly not looking for a relationship.
Baylee was another matter. I appreciated that she was competent and strong. I even appreciated when she discussed her ADHD. The way her decisions were shown in the light of the ADHD was interesting. It made me think about how much ADHD could impact every aspect in your life.
I liked that the relationship took a little time to develop. They both have very demanding jobs and trying to balance their schedules would be difficult. They also get interrupted by their jobs and have to learn to adjust to that. Although some of the misunderstandings seemed to stretch out a long time, with their personalities it was not unreasonable.
There were a couple places where the story had holes or something wasn't fully explained and that was a little aggravating. It didn't ruin the story but it kept it from being a 4 star read.

The book seemed to skip a lot and I felt like I had missed something, kept going back over the pages in case I had skimmed, I hadn't the detail just wasn't there.
