I found this book really hard to get into the first time around but as soon as I picked it up this time, I knew that it’s as aligned with me. Just as the law of attraction does, I’m pretty sure that this book showed up at the right time.

Currently going through a hard time with a family friend who is ill, this book helped me to chose again as to how I was viewing the situation.

It’s a beautiful book, a tad woohoo but as a believer that wasn’t an issue for me. I loved this and think it’s well suited to LOA practitioners looking to further cement their beliefs or practices.

If you want to learn more about the law of attraction and manifesting a better life this book can be a life changer. She is very positive and gives you advice on how you can change negative thoughts into positive thoughts. Highly recommend if you want to change your life.

This book delves into how you can have the law of attraction work for you. If you do not believe the law of attraction can be useful, this is not the book for you. On the other hand, if you are open to the possibility, this is a very good book.

I have not read her ‘The Universe has your Back’ and Gabrielle mentions this book continues from there. However, I had no trouble going through this independently. There are lots of advice packed across the chapters on how you can slow down, adopt a positive attitude to life and have your meaningful desires satisfied. There are 11 chapters whose content spans – the nature of the universe, overcoming fears, self-understanding, adopting a positive approach, being aware of help available, gratitude and keeping the faith.

She includes many personal experiences – being very stressed and misaligned herself. She is generous in crediting those who have influenced her including Abraham Hicks and others. There are a set of simple exercises and meditations described. Some of her advice felt a little far-fetched to me. There are not many deeper exercises & meditations, though this is great as an introductory positivity-inducing book. The audiobook narration in her own voice was excellent.

This book was gifted to me. I've been familiar with the Law of Attraction, but I've never actually read a book about it. You're not going to like this book if you are not at least open to the theory of LOA. I think there is something to be said for the idea that if you live in joy and happiness, you may be more open to opportunities and solutions than someone who is a curmudgeon, but it's really easy to say "just be happy and good things happen to you" when you are already social and economically privileged.

There were some good takeaways in this book that were helpful to me, such as the "Choose Again" method and the emotional scale. Other ideas connected me to spiritual concepts and helped me better understand the purpose of faith. Still, it was extremely repetitive and many of the "challenges" the author or her friends/clients were facing were trivial at best when compared to real issues people face every day. I liked some of the ideas here and I definitely will take some with me, but I probably won't be recommending this to anyone.

Unofficial Book Review:

Go read this.

You're welcome.

Ok, jokes aside, every time I read a Gabby Bernstein book I'm reminded of why I love her so much.

She just takes what I already know to be true and explains it in a way that allows my logical brain to catch up with my spiritual one.

And then it all makes sense and I'm reminded of how I want to live my life.

So, yeah, go read this. Get the audio, and take notes.

The first half of the book is insightful and useful. Her guided meditations are fantastic. But I had to check out once she starred talking about the archangel Azrael and communing with the ghost of Wayne Dyer. Never go full Marianne Williamson.

I picked this one up at the perfect time. And that’s saying something since I’ve been holding onto it from the library for a very long time. I sometimes devour self development books, or whatever term you prefer, unable to put them down. However with this one I wanted to savor each chapter, complete each assignment and meditation and journal about them. So I released completing it on my timeline and let the lessons lead me. I’m grateful for serval take aways from this book. My biggest gift is that of my spirit guides, and how open I am truly to accepting the universe’s guidance. I invite anyone looking for the missing piece in their vision, or the next step to pick up this book and savor each chapter.
