I really enjoyed the first 75% of this book (who knew that pining while playing violins and cellos could be so hot?!?) but the last 25% was SO frustrating to read. The third act conflict and resolution felt thrown together, and made me dislike the characters.

This is a tough one for me. I absolutely loved Alexander and I loved their time together as a couple, especially making music together.  Those parts were exceptional.  However, Gwen i did not like. She made some stupid decisions and was a total bitch for no real reason to Alex in the first half of the book. But what made me just not like her at all was when it casually mentions that she left her grandpa to call his own ambulance and die alone. The man who partially raised her and was her only living family member....all bc she doesn't like long goodbyes? So, fuck you Gwen, let's hope you die first because if it's Alex, he will be dying alone and he deserves better.

This book was an absolute joy to read! Can’t wait to read more of Julie Soto’s work.
