Great read.

This was such a great, fun read. I loved the dramatic dynamics of Ryder and Dakota's relationship! They both fell for each other so quickly but, Dakota wouldn't admit to it and Ryder couldn't stop talking about it!
Loved it.

The dialog is too stunted and choppy.

Forget Hallmark meets smut this was definitely lifetime meets smut. Dakota is fantastic. She speaks her mind, a little crass and all kinds of spicy. Ryder is all
Sunshine and sugar and a truck load of baggage. These two together are so fun. Add in her absolutely insane family and this book is sugar and spice and everything nice!!!

The reason I wanted to read this book was because of a stalker grandma, and on that front I was not disappointed. Granny Murry was by far my favorite character, as she is insane, but in a funny way.

This book is steamy, it is a romance, and does take place during christmas time, and gives My Big Fat Greek Wedding energy, but in a bad way. Dakota's family makes no sense, and seem to just be there to try and marry Dakota off as soon as possible and get her and the other female members of the household to make babies as quickly as possible. Also, they take sports way to seriously.

Neither of the two main characters (Ryder and Dakota) were compelling, and I hated seeing them together as Ryder is naive beyond being believable and Dakota is kind of a female dog, if you know what I mean. At first I really liked Ryder, but his naivety got old quickly and just made him annoying, especially after the book gets spicy and he does a flip in character. Dakota is very clearly using him for sex the whole time and he just doesn't see it, even though the people around him do, and tell him not to get emotionally invested.

Also, the underlying plot with Timmy was unconvincing and the resolution was rushed.

I actually didn’t like it a lot at first because it was very comical and moved a little fast. But it was a really cute book in the end. I forgot it was a comedy so that threw me off but when I remembered it was the book was a great read. I would read one of her books again.
