I loved every bit of it. All the references to Shakespeare were clever and fit perfectly into the storyline without being cliché.

I didn't enjoy this as much as Equal Rites but that's a very high bar. I still love how Pratchett writes and it's a very very funny book. A little confusing at time as there's a lo going on and I got muddled between the witches speech sometimes. Overall very enjoyable read.

Some snarky bits, lots of veiled social criticisms, a reimagined Hamlet story. Overall a very cool world build but the actual story left me a little underwhelmed. The witches are certainly bad ass though and they were the best part. Read if you enjoy independent, no f*cks given women doing what they want and having some witchy fun. Been promising my husband I would read this one for YEARS so I finally delivered. Final verdict: Discworld just isn't my bag but I'll give the Tiffany Aching books a shot at some point.

Another meh entry in my Diskworld read through for me.

I liked the witches but there was not enough of them and didn't really care for some off the side tangents in the story.

The humor as always delivers  and the plot wasn't to bad.

Assorted thoughts:

1. The witches are some of the most interesting characters I've ever read.

2. I love Tomjon.

3. This was a lot more exciting and the plot ran a lot more smoothly than in the preceding book.

I liked it well enough; I don't know exactly if it's the most brilliant thing I've ever read, but I had fun, and that's what counts.

i loved this book. it was fun and entertaining and didn’t have any of the middle lag that some of terry pratchett’s early books have. the many references to shakespeare were very well incorporated and i loved the depiction of the witches. i did guess the ending halfway through because i’ve read the tiffany aching series, but it was fun to see the connections between all of pratchett’s books.
