I want to read all of Jen Frederick’s books now! Katie and Jack’s story is crazy! I usually HATE anything amnesia related but I loved this! Katie is so funny and blunt! Jack is perfect despite his 10 month absence. It is just a perfect mixture of everything. This could definitely be expanded into a full novel but it’s wonderful as is. Have fun with this HEA!

Read Me Romance has opened me to some new authors, and now I am adding Jen Frederick to my list. This short, second chance romance opened with me laughing out loud and there is no better way to start a book off! Kate runs into Jack, the father of her child after he disappears for 10 months. And then the fun begins. I had a lot of fun listening, trying to figure out what happened to Jack and will they figure things out. Narrated by the fabulous Erin Mallon, her comedic timing and wonderful emotions make the story full of laughter, swoonworthy moments and all out endearing!

Bombshell is standalone novella about a second chance romance. I didn't really like the voice narrating this novella but it didn't affect my opinion. It just sounded like the woman who read most of the book was sick or her voice just sounded like it.
Our hero and heroine have a daughter together, Anna who got her cute dimples from her father. The book describes her to be three months old but I think she acted more like she was three years old. I don't think any three months old babies act like that. I'm not that sure that even my niece who is over one year old does.
Kate still isn't over how Jack just disappeared on her. She doesn't really leave her house. I wasn't big fan of her but I enjoyed how she reacted when she saw Jack again. I'm glad that she just didn't forgive him immediately. Jack is such a good guy but I don't like it when characters are forgiven too easily. People aren't really that forgiving and it wouldn't be realistic. Jack wanted to be there for her and their baby from the beginning and he doesn't think anyone deserves her, even him.
The romance was a very cute one. There were moments from the present day and Kate also described some things from their past, like how he was different from when they were dating. Nothing could keep them apart, even his disability.
All in all it was pretty predictable. I knew almost immediately what was going on with Jack and why he just left Kate. I'm still kinda confused why someone wanted to break them up. Was 'the thug' working alone or did someone make him do what he did?

This really was a sweet story about a second chance romance! I laughed and swooned all over the place. I listened to this book via the Read Me Romance Podcast.

Couldn’t give it 5 stars because I questioned some things, but I really enjoyed the romance. I really enjoy Jen’s writing and this was really fun.

Apart from the Einsteinish three-month-old baby, the complete lack of medical knowledge, holes in the plot you could drive three semi trucks side by side through, and the abrupt ending with no epilogue, this book was cute!
