I really liked this book. In fact, I liked it so much that I immediately purchased 'Shockaholic'. I read the reviews before starting this, so I kind of knew what to expect. If you're looking for a book where Carrie spends all her time talking about the making of Star Wars, then move along...this is NOT the book you're looking for. She mentions the movie a few times, but she certainly doesn't dwell on it.
While Ms. Fisher does have a great sense of humor, and I laughed out loud quite a few times, it's sad just how much crap she's had to put up with, both physically and emotionally (especially emotionally). I'm glad the ECT seems to be working for her, and I wish her nothing but the best. I look forward to starting her newest book.

Although rather vulgar and crude at times, I love Fisher's ability to laugh at the challenges of life and living with mental illness.

She really made lemonade out of lemons. A captivating and entertaining memoir. Legit laughed several times due to the sheer absurdity of what this legend went through. Really read like a one woman show ... the flow of this book is elite!

Hilarious! I loved every moment of this memoir! Carrie Fisher successfully combines humor with very serious issues and really encourages the reader to look on the bright side of things! I felt that she was very honest with herself and the reader. I can't wait to read Shockaholic!!
