Unfortunately, this was not my favorite read…

Let me start out with what I liked: it was a short, fast read that was action packed and bloody.

What I didn’t like: it was extremely predicable, the relationships were very shallow (due to the timeframe), and also the ending! I’m all for open endings but this was too much.

This is my first read from this author. I have have her debut novel so I will be reading that and just hopeful that the story grabs me more than this one did.

i didn't rlly this book.

i love a good thriller and this was exactly that. however there are a lot of things i didn't like. the plot sounded soooooo good, a camp thriller where they have to find the killer from a couple years ago who's killing again years later. but it lowkey wasn't like that. i just feel like the story did not at all go like what i expected it to go like. i thought they were gonna all go to the camp and become like a murder mystery friend group and they would like find clues throughout the course of a couple days and yk new ppl would be killed that they'd be discovering. but instead this all takes place in
Spoilerone day. ONE DAY.
I JUST DON'T GET IT. it was soooooo rushed. i also totally saw everything coming. like i knew they were twins. i knew
Spoilerandie
was the mom. and i knew
Spoilerthe police officer
was the killer. it was all so predicable. and even the ending wasn't like crazy. i did like how she had like flashbacks as some chapter i thought that was fun. and i liked the last chapter (if u could call it that) that made it sm more interesting and if she went off and continued writing a little more after that maybe there could have been more mystery bc how did
Spoilerhe survive
.

i think olivia is lowkey soooooooo boring. i did lowkey like reagan tho she had more of a personality.

the other side characters were also all fine. nothing interesting.

and there was like a romance ig but it wasn't good at all. reagan went from liking jack (who she should've been w bc that literally made the most sense) to somehow liking hazel. and they kissed but it was so out of nowhere and like did not fit into the storyline at all. and then u have how hazel basically manipulated reagan into liking her. I JUST DO NOT GET HOW
Spoilerthey're dating
. and she was all like "no i think ur hot that's why i kissed u blah blah" babe she looks exactly like ur bsf. isn't that a little weird. and then olivia liked jack, i mean maybe there could be potential there bc he gave her like a (stupid ass) nickname but it still didn't make sense and jack is like in love with reagan. idk the romance is just horrible.

i wanna try reading her other books bc i feel like they have potential this one was just not my fav and i'm glad it's not a series.

I could not put this book down. I read it one day. I wanted to know so badly how the story kept unfolding. I loved going back and forth from 2008 to present with the chapters. The cliffhangers made me not want to stop reading, I was so curious to know more.

I was highlighting and making my own conclusions as the story went on and it felt so fun to be surprised or to even feel right about the mystery. Too many times did my eyes go to the bottom of the page because the chapter was too good. Fantastic read, really made my heart race and my stomach drop.

The ending was fine, but the last chapter was weirdly unneeded. It felt random and like it was a way to add closure that wasn't really needed.

While this was fun and quick read, it was also pretty predictable. The whole book takes place over less than 24 hours and we have two separate romances bloom while their all running for their lives which was ridiculous. And what was up with that ending? So random
Spoiler it would have been better to just end with the reveal that Andie killed Matthew. Why did Matthew have to be alive with amnesia and I guess killing people who come on his land? Cheesy!

holyyyy shitttt!!!! absolutely insane. 5 STARS!!
first of all, i loved how it got juicy in just 50 pages in. i was hooked from the beginning. usually i’m good at figuring out who the murderer is but i had NO idea about this one, i was shook. AND THAT ENDING!!!! that very last sentence sent me into a shock, i’ve never read something so unpredictable before, i loved it!!!! i need a sequel to this ASAP!
