I was listening to her audio, enjoying her stories like I was catching up with a friend, until the needle scratch moment where she described a friend as having "chinky eyes." REALLY, Issa? I am surprised and saddened that this description made it through editors.

I loved Issa Rae's first book. I really enjoyed her web series so I had to read her book. It did not disappoint. I laughed out loud while reading this book. It's a quick, easy, and fun read.
It ended rather abruptly for me, with a line about someone else. I felt cheated after getting to know the author and following along in her story.
