I just finished the book and I don’t know if I should give 2 or 3 stars. Callie was annoying at times, hot and cold towards Des to the point where it didn’t make sense in certain situations (in my opinion). SPOILER: the main baddie, the big evil, was so disappointing. Without spoiling it more it felt so anticlimactic when he was bested.

It’s a naw from me dog. The story itself was promising enough but I felt uncomfy reading the whole time due to the age gap. The FMC easily could’ve been in college instead of high school, literally no reason to make her 16 just chillin with an adult man. Felt real groomy in parts.

My kind of books. Bit fanfic-y, bit of romance, dark creepy guy...

Is it a top read like all the books I recently got from my Oxford trip, no. But I enjoyed it so very much!!
