Absolutely loved it. Felt really validating to know other healthcare workers have made these critiques and taken genuinely revolutionary action. Long live the SPK!

I will say, the overly academic prose felt very out of place. It read like the target audience was the petite bourgeoisie / PMC / labor aristocracy- but I feel like the book’s own class analysis shows how silly that is.
informative slow-paced

This book was pretty dense and had a lot of jargon which is somewhat understandable given the subject matter. I still feel like it could’ve been made a little more accessible. I listened to the audiobook version which I feel like made it easier to get lost. There were several topics that I felt like were rushed through and I would’ve liked to hear more about and then other topics that went into more detail than was necessary. Overall I still learned a lot and would recommend this book. I think it should be a must read for anyone working in healthcare.

This book pulled a lot of things together for me, and I can feel how formative it will be for my continued political education. Immensely grateful to Beatrice Adler-Bolton & Artie Vierkant, as well as everyone on Death Panel, for their work and how much I've learned and grown from their sharing of it!

Informative book on an interesting topic, but awkward and clunky writing. Took me over a month to finish because I found it so irritating.

Health is the host to the capitalism parasite. This metaphor is extremely powerful and I think we all should be leaning in, exploring it more fully, celebrating the ways we can remove ourselves from availability for extraction, and severing the connection. Also, there's something very special about hearing the story of doctor-collaborators.
