The complex plot has me reeling. I'm either going to have to find a reading guide or take some serious notes.

4.5. Is it a Sarah J Maas ✨dupe✨? Feels like it at times, that’s for sure. Is that necessarily a bad thing? Noooot at all. I read every fantasy book hoping I’ll love it as much as ACOTAR or TOG, this one isn’t quite that but it definitely fits in that category and has similar elements. Just a really, really good series that pulls elements from so many of the best romantasy series.

I disliked Scarlett even more in this book. I found her so infuriating and hypocritical. She expects everyone to tell her everything (which has started to happen) but then withholds information from everyone herself and then gets mad when they question her about it. I like pretty much all of the other characters at least and I still like the actual plot and learning about the universe and how this and The Legacy Series (which I love) are connected so I will continue reading and hope that Scarlett will get better.
