Interesting concept, slightly poor execution. I did enjoy the ending and interspersed snippets of articles / interviews.

Fun read :) I normally don’t like mysteries where there’s such heavy supernatural elements , it gets a little silly to me but this one was fun, and definitely unexpected. The last 20%~ jammed a lot of lore / explaining but it flowed , somewhat. Clunky at the end but still worth the reveal. The author did use the phrase “living in my head, rent free” around the 1/2 mark and the use of that took me so far out of the book I had to put it down.

This was entertaining, but I was never all in with it. The premise was cool and it would work well in a movie format, but was harder in writing to get across. The ending was disappointing and didn't feel too much like it made sense.

Uneven in tone. This book plays out like a light crime caper but the subject matter is very dark. It missed its potential to say something larger about the nature of fame stardom and celebrity. The character arc was also another missed opportunity. It felt unearned the main characters personality felt underdeveloped, despite the amount of time we spent in her head.

A page turner with a style and an ending I didn't like. Still, I loved the pace and the story.

challenging dark emotional mysterious tense fast-paced

Had some good ideas. Liked the idea of a haunted production being rebooted and going through similar difficulties. Unfortunately like a lot of things I've read recently the reveal and final chapters really let me down. It got a little bit more far fetched, the the "one year later" rather than keeping wrapped somewhat nice made things even more confusing. Felt like it was a great story and idea that maybe never quite had the proper ending decided on and was figured out as it was written. It just felt like it wasnt a fully realized plot conclusion.
