I read the first two books of this series and found them interesting, this one had too many convuluted plots, too much violence and less emphasis on the emotional impact of what was happening, that got swept under the rug with all the violence taking over. How to survive being an unwitting spouse of a serial killer and how to have relationships and raise your children has interesting enough questions in and of itself.

Fun continuation of this series. I like the flow and the characters.

Another fab book in this series though I didn’t like it as much as the others. The storyline was just a bit unreal for me. I’d have much preferred for it to be about people coming after Gwen for being the ex wife. But instead she’s drawn into trouble in another town. It’s still fast paced and keeps you reading but I just didn’t like the story that much.

This installment didn’t feel quite as polished as the first two. But it serves a purpose, transitioning the series between two storylines. I’m still very invested and excited to see where the series goes.

Sidenote: Gwen and her family are going to be in therapy FOREVER. Hope she has good health insurance.

Review to come.

Wow, this book was great. I can't say it was as good as book #2 of the series, but it was definitely a page turner. I got a little lost in the story though, it got a bit convoluted for me but I eventually got it all straight (I think).

⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 stars

I had heard that this installment slowed the pace, but I disagree. Obviously it’s a move in another direction, but still just as packed. And we needed the relationship tension between Gwen and Sam as well as the POVs of the kids like we had in book 2. Will be continuing the series.
