Emilia is a completely different person in this book. I genuinely didn't recognize her character. Also, this book is marked as YA. YA books are for children ages 12-18. I am concerned that anyone thinks a twelve-year-old could pick this book up and it be okay. This book definitely leans more toward NA.

Honestly, I'm such a big fan of Kerri's books, Kingdom of the Wicked was my nr1 read the year it was released and I was SO looking forward to this that maybe, just maybe, it is what let me down a bit.
It was way too much about relationships, too little mysterious stuff, witchcraft and anything else I loved about the first book.
I really hope this was just a "second book" thing and that the third book will blow me away again.
