i loved this book so much. made me laugh and also feel so much. i feel sad that it’s over!!! gave me perspective into adopting rescue dogs which was so good to read about. i loved the self deprecating humour and sarcasm throughout and loooovedd that he gave the dogs dialogue and personalities because it added so much and gave a fiction vibe to a non fiction book. so easy to read. fav book of the year (as of 7 jan) 🥰

As a non dog person (safe space I hope) this was a hard read, as it at times extremely hard to relate to. But through that it was powerful and tender and ultimately I kind of got it. My only qualm is sometimes it took a while to get to the point, but acknowledged by the author so I can’t be too aggravated
