This was a fun read! Very fast paced, and I liked the banter between the two main characters, Royce and Hadrian. A really good fantasy read for people looking to get into the genre.
Can't wait to continue on with the series.

These are the kinds of books and stories that you wish could just keep going forever and ever.
I've been procrastinating reading this series just because I don't want it to be quite over yet (while yes, I know there's more coming), but I'd hate to arrive at a point where I have no new Royce and Hadrian stories to look forward to.
As for this particular entry - Hell yeah! For some reason I always assumed the Chronicles series would interest me less than Revelations, as there's a lot of interesting development between these two (and other characters) in the latter that changes the dynamic completely, but I am also totally into this. Gwen also gets some much needed development, and I just want everyone to succeed at everything.

As someone who just finished the ryiria revelations series, and loved it, I was expecting to love this. This book has such a slow start that it was almost boring. I liked the ending, but it makes me question continuing on to the next book.

I adored the Riyria Revelations. It was one of those series that I instantly fell in love with and enjoyed the entire story. I couldn’t put it down so I decided to get the Riyria Chronicles for Christmas (three of them as presents for myself) and I have been dying to sit down and read them. The Crown Tower did not disappoint.
Royce and Hadrian have got to be one of my all time favourite book friendships. They just work so well together and I just loved how different they were yet how close they were so to read how it all begin hit just about every button for me. Hadrian is lovely, Royce is closed off and I absolutely adored seeing their initial antagonism towards each other thaw slightly throughout the course of the story.

I wasn't prepared for the wave of warm nostalgia that washed over me upon my return to the world of Elan after reading The Riyria Revelations a couple of years ago. I don't think I could ever tire of reading about Hadrian and Royce's adventures, I love this duo so so much. And I'm glad I'm reading this series in publication order rather than chronological order. This book would not have had the same bittersweet impact on me had I read it first (and oh my gosh that last chapter was brilliant). MJS's writing style is just so addictive and fun as well as packing an emotional punch. Now I've got to binge read the next 8 books in preparation for Nolyn!

Like a warm blanket. I don't think Royce and Hadrian can ever bore me.

The Crown Tower is so, so, so good that I couldn't put it down for very long. Wow! Michael J. Sullivan is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors.
Enjoyable read. Nice to see where the characters met and how their bond developed. You can read this before the other series. I also like how the covers are opposites of the other series but also coordinate.
