3.77 AVERAGE

Been so long since I last read this, like three years ago so couldn't remember much until it all started to click into place and I was like, oh yeah, that's what happened. That is why rereading thrillers is so great.

Second re-read: Decided to re-read all the books of Promise Falls, and I believe this is the very first.

I thought I had it all figured out by page 126, but I was wrong. 😊 Linwood Barclay never disappoints me, which is why I kept reading. I figured there was no way he would give it away that soon.

Primer libro que leo del autor. Muy buena premisa pero quizás algo inverosímil. Le resto una estrella porque la traducción no es lo mejor del libro y te saca un poco de la historia por momentos.

DID NOT FINISH

Too generic plot

I really love Linwood Barclay's writing which I find incredibly easy to read. I thought this book wasn't as good as the debut novel by this author, but still gripping nonetheless.

I'm a big fan of Linwood Barclay's writing, and although this wasn't as good as his previous novel, No Time for Goodbye, I was still enthralled by the mystery involved. The family next to our protagonist's has been murdered, but they find out that the killers may have gone to the wrong house... cue much drama, confusion, a bit of detective work and a bit of a twist.

A good book, perhaps not as good as hoped though. Still worth reading

This was an excellent mystery that kept me guessing. I liked the imperfections of the main characters and how they were used in the plotting. Close to the ideal, quick, read.
