I thought this story was so cute! From the characters to their development and everything in between. Such a fun read!
This book made me feel quite a few different emotions. I related to Cat and her trust issues. However, I was frustrated with how much she seemed to hate general communication. She was hard headed and rude to Myles and even her friend and they didn’t deserve that.
The story was cute and I enjoyed it but it definitely had a few parts that didn’t sit right with me.
I’m giving the book a 3.5 stars overall. :)

Jen Morris knows how to write a damn good romance novel. Ever wanted to know what your own romance novel might be like? I think this is it. All of Cat’s anxieties, insecurities, flaws and fears are so realistic. Myles couldn’t be a hotter book boyfriend. I love all of the side characters, especially Alex from the first book in the series. Do yourself a favor and enjoy this open door romance in a single day. You won’t regret it.

**** I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review ****
I haven't been able to get past my reading slump that I've had since the beginning of this year, but I found myself sucked into this book and I couldn't put it down!
I read Love In the City when it first came out and thoroughly enjoyed it. I was overjoyed when I found myself with an ARC of this next book! And it definitely delivered! I loved this one even more than the first one!
Cat and Myles are definitely one of my favorite couples as of late. I was living for the way Myles never took any of Cat's bullshit and never let her hide from being her true self. I mean, where can I find myself a cute, always-wants-to-talk-it-out, tattooed bartender??

I read this in one sitting! This book was full of layers, angst, and plenty of steam!
Cat is a prickly woman scorned by several men in her life including her cheating ex husband, her abandoning father, and other skeevy men who have had a lot of audacity and entitlement. These experiences have made her cautious of men and is keen on guarding her heart. She owns and operates a vintage clothing store and is trying to find her footing. She is falling short of her full potential, but is insecure and blind to her talent and fierceness.
Myles (insert heart eyes) is the new tattooed, hunky bartender at Cat's brother's bar. He is drawn to Cat from the moment he sees her and is willing to get close to her and show her, her excellence in any way he can, even if it is only by designing her store's website, being a stand-in fake boyfriend, and just good friend. He is ride or die and we stan soft cinnamon roles like Myles ❤️
Cat is an overly cautious character with abandonment and trust issues. She's stubborn, yet tender and is just yearning for stability, genuine connection, and trust. And Myles is more than willing to give those to her *swoon*.
All in all, this was a very enjoyable romance that will have you rooting for them and their HEA the entire time ❤️
There is:
-Sunshine/grump reversed trope (hero is sunshine, heroine is grump)
-Fake dating trope
-Open door romance
*Thank you to Jen Morris and publisher for this ARC in exchange for an honest review*

You Know It’s Love by Jen Morris
Synopsis: Remember Cat, Alex’s roommate from Love in the City? This is the book where we get her story. Cat grew up without her father (who left her family) and has gone through a divorce, from a man who cheated on her. The book opens with Cat meeting a tinder date at her brother Cory’s bar. We meet Myles, the male lead of the book here in this first scene too. He’s been hired to work in her brothers bar. The sparks fly from the first instant, but he breaks Cat’s rules so she’s resistant. The book takes us on a journey of Cat’s healing and obviously their relationship, and like @jenmorrisauthor first book this is an open door romance
What I loved: Myles. He is easily my favorite character in the book. I love how many layers he had and how often Cat had to reframe her assumptions about him. Jen writes her books from a single POV. I would LOVE to read what this story would be like from Myle’s POV. We also got more Alexand Geoff in this book!
What didn’t resonate with me: Not a whole heck of a lot. Quite frankly I can’t come up with one thing to put here.
Should you read it? This is a heck yes as far as would I recommend. TW: Sexual Assault, Parental abondment
Disclaimer: I received this #ARC copy in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are my own

I absolutely knew I was going to love Cat’s books and I wasn’t wrong. There is just something about the way Jen writes that just draws you in! Cat can be a bitch haha, but she’s also a badass, who has kind of lost her way. Myles is so so sweet and cute and I love with how in tune he is with himself. The two of them together have sparks flying! The way they interact is so much fun and had me laughing a lot! I also love the friendships in this book. Everything was just wonderful and it left me feeling so good!
