I listen to this series more for the characters than the plot but in this entry I found the plot very compelling and was pleased that Dr. Isles took center stage. I listened to the audio version read by Anna Fields.

This book held my interest from the beginning to the end. The book starts with the murder of a young nun. Detective Jane Rizzoli and Medical Examiner Maura Isles solve the case as more people die.
I give it a solid 4 out of 5 stars.

Questo libro mi ha tenuta incollata alle sue pagine capitolo dopo capitolo: ne ho divorato la storia e gli intrecci tra i vari personaggi, inoltre l'effetto sorpresa è stato una costante durante la lettura. Ma verso la fine, proprio quando lo scioglimento della trama avrebbe dovuto essere più 'consistente' e meglio sviluppato, mi è sembrato che l'autrice concludesse tutto in maniera un po' sbrigativa, oltretutto in un paio di capitoli soltanto, ed è stato un vero peccato.

It had many twists and turns throughout. The women's lives had their own turns as well. The ending was unexpected which really made this book a good read.

Ale to było dobre! Zastanawiałam się nad kontynuacją tej serii, ale ten tom sprawił, że już się nie waham. Było tajemniczo, było klimatycznie i fajnie poprowadzone. Jak na razie - mój ulubiony tom.
