This book felt more centered around Dr Isles. It was still a worthy read if only to find the ending completely surprising.

I love the story, especially the development of relationship between two main female characters.

Strong 4.5! Loved that the plot is moving away from The Surgeon storyline, but the pacing doesn’t keep up with the level of drama as it does in the others.

Another incredibly twisted thrilling book by Tess Gerristen. I COULD NOT PUT THIS BOOK DOWN. I literally took my time in getting around to reading the last couple of chapters because i didn’t want it to end.

Two Nuns, one dead & one seriously injured. Who on earth would want to harm such innocent woman of god? Rizzoli & Isles uncovering another crime, finding out buried secrets and trying to catch who did it. When a new Victim is found with her Hands, feet and… face gone things take a really dark turn, with so much more to uncover. I really loved how dark this book was, with a lot of heavy topics not for the faint hearted. This book had a lot to unpack and multiple different paths to follow but i found it so easy to follow along, with a new twist and piece of information to uncover with every page you turn it is impossible to get bored with this book.

I’m really glad we got to see more of an insight into Maura Isles personal life and dive deeper into who she is as a person. I’m also happy to see a new vulnerable side of the “tough” Jane Rizzoli. As i’m reading this series i’m noticing huge character building defining moments which makes it really enjoyable to read.

The ending of this book was definitely not what i expected but really just makes sense, the corruption, lies and betrayal and huge plot twists, what more could you want in a book?

This book really brings out the Rizzoli and Isles characters and you can sense that the writer is hitting her stride. You learn a lot more about both women's pasts and it makes the characters a lot more likeable. Rizzoli in particular - she's less abrasive in this book and I feel like the author has set them up to be friends without getting all girly about it.

This installment has Rizzoli and Isles working the murder and attempted murder of two nuns in a Boston convent. The plot is very good and it has some unexpected twists. Since I read this in a day, I'd say it's highly entertaining. :)

So I've had a couple encounters with Gerritsen's work before and I was happy with the results. In this case, I can say with certainty that the Rizzoli and Isles series is only getting better. A must read if you're into thrillers or simply into GOOD books.
