Like the series.

Enjoyable books. Characters that are developing book to book. All in all a nice crime series. I love Maura, and love her nickname "Queen of the Dead"

I really enjoyed The Sinner. It was a refreshing change from the typical serial killer fare and gave us an insight into Maura Isle's past marriage. It was a lot lighter on action but that did not detract from the story, in fact it may have actually reflected the quite and peace of the convent and then highlighted the violent act that occured.

There were aspects I did not enjoy. Rizzoli's medical condition holds no appeal for me and I really feel like it changes the direction these novels might have headed in. I also did not enjoy the last chapter which felt tacked on and rushed as if the author wanted to get that event over with before tackling the next novel. I think if it had to happen I would have liked to see her familys involvement and the related stress/issues taking place over the course of a novel - all while Rizolli was dealing with a case of some kind.

Didn't finish this book, i loved the first two in the series but just couldn't get into this one. Didn't find the story line as gripping as the first two.

I'm really enjoying this series. This is book 3. I read it quickly. I watched the TV series before reading the book series. I'm seeing the TV characters when reading which is tricky becasue there are differences and there are storyline differences. This story kept me wondering and reading quickly. I read this book in just a few days. I am looking forward to reading more in the series.
