super slay

Rhys… where do I start? Every moment was perfect for this couple, from their 1st meeting to Costa Rica to him moving to Eldorra to be her King. Being a bodyguard is about protecting your clients at all costs but this relationship was a whole lot more, from the moment he saw Bridget, he knew he was in trouble… Ana has outdone herself once again.

The bodyguard and her princess lol who wouldn’t love it (and he’s not an asshole + not scared to share his feelings either)

Okay- best one if the damn series. Hand down. Rhys - ily baby

All of the reviews I'm going to write for this series are going to be very similar because at a core level they're all very similar books, but I did enjoy this book a lot more than I enjoyed the first book. I loved Brigit a LOT more than I loved Ava I can tell you that much, though once again there were things in this book that I simply wasn't in to. OVERALL, this was a good book and I liked most parts of it. I loveeee a good bodyguard romance and I love a good forbidden romance. I liked Rhys for the most part. Most things he did made me forget he's 10 years older than Brigit so that's helpful as well. I liked their little wedding because I love a good wedding. Though my favorite part of Twisted Love was the times when the friend group was interacting, but that was severelyyyyy lacking in this book which I didn't appreciate. Hope there's more of that in the next book.

3.5 Sterne

Light-hearted, steamy, surprising, and unsurprising at the same time. This book was both a hit and a miss for me.

What I loved was the MC Bridget and the fact that she and Rhys weren't the usual damsel in distress x rich bad guy couple. Bridget had actual good qualities such as a love for animals, being a reliable friend, and just seeming like an overall decent human being. Rhys wasn't your usual love interest either. He was a kind (while curt and moody) person and was interested in finding true connection rather than just sex. The characters in this book were likeable and well written.

Sadly, I was a bit disappointed with the plot and the relationship progression. It felt like they were into each other pretty much from the getgo and the long time jumps made me feel like I've missed a lot of important relationship building. The spicy scenes also weren't exactly my cup of tea, they felt repetitive and the wording was a bit cheesy. The general plot besides the romance didn't grip me at all.

Recommending this book for people that want a steamy, quick read that isn't toxic or abuse-y. Don't recommend for people that are looking for slow burns or a good plot besides the romance.

If I asked ChatGPT to write me an adult version of the last two books of the selection, it would give me this and I ate it up.

I’m not calling myself a romance reader nor am I a fan of Ana Huang (I have no intention of reading the rest of her books, save for maybe the Striker because it’s about a dancer). I have just been seeing so many edits of this book/out of context quotes that I just had to pick it up and lose some brain cells. I was also in a reading slump even though I’m literally reading a decent book right now, and this was the fun distraction that I needed.

Easy quick read but now all I can think about it is Rhys “you and me against the world princess,” Larsen.

Also I read this online. Don’t worry, I didn’t waste $15 on it. No comment otherwise…
