The character development in this book was AWFUL. Why does it take 13 years to realize that you’re lonely?
The author chose to talk so much about her relationship with Sebastian which was just so cringey.
Clover complains about being lonely almost the entire book and it became annoying. The people who ended up becoming her friends had to fit a very specific mold, I can understand why she was so lonely, who wants to be around a person like that?
ALSO, how is she living the lifestyle that she is? At the end of the book she decides to travel for 3 months, where is the money coming from for her to be able to do that? How is she accepting jobs and deciding that she doesn’t need to get paid for them?
Not once in this book did she get paid for a job that she did.

A heartwarmong story of one woman's journey of personal healing through her role as a Death Doula. The main character is interesting as she understands the needs of others yet has no insight into her own suffering. Would highly recommend this book to anyone involved in end of life care. Was given the title as a book club read for the Fiction Addiction Bookclub, probably would not have picked this up otherwise due to the sensitive subject matter however, this was handled sensutively and with warmth by the author.
