Girl meets boy next door romance told in dual timelines, their time together as teenagers and present day, about 12 years later.  The coming of age plotline was sweet, but the present day plotline hinted at a past conflict that has kept them apart for over a decade.  Once they are able to communicate, issues are resolved in a somewhat predictable manner, but it was an enjoyable, though poignant, read.

Every Summer After was not quite the light rom-com I was looking for, but was still a good read. Following Percy and Sam as they grow up through their teenage years, Fortune examines the complexity of different relationships, forgiveness, and moving on.

I was a little confused towards the end when it's clear Sam realized what happened between Percy and Charlie, but that situation needed more exploration. I'd also like a little more from Sam's perspective when he leaves the last summer.

OMGEEEEEE!!! Who doesn’t love a summer romance? A back and forth of summers past and present day life. Percy, Sam, and Charlie are people I’d want to be friends with. I’ve stayed up late reading this novel every night because I needed to know what happened. Great twist. A few mouth drops. Some tears, but in the end my heart is happy.
