I think I really liked this book. The mafia theme didn’t feel too cliché, which I appreciated. And Nico? He’s the man. He is the perfect amount of what I want a MAN to be, and he match her yearn!!
I like Elena so much! She’s cool, clever and strong in her own way — exactly the kind of FMC I love in a story like this.
The romantic parts, the slow burn, the angst… everything just felt right for this genre. It didn’t feel overdone or “too much.” The balance was perfect.

There was so much misogyny in this book. This was my first mafia romance, so maybe it’s just part of the genre, but it’s definitely not for me. I particularly hated the scene where he pushed her into a pool . I don’t mind a morally grey MMC, but I prefer when that darkness is reserved for everyone except his woman. With her, I want him to be gentle, protective, and a stark contrast to how he treats the rest of the world. On the plus side, though, the spice was absolutely SPICING. 🔥
