Really loved the first 2 parts, the third part from Lowry was much harder to read and get through for me. Wrapped up very nicely as Jeff always does. Overall very happy with this addition to the series! Love that it was all earlier information and not a continuation.

Four stars because there is still so much that seems unresolved to me. I wonder if we are ever going to get a full circle moment where everything connects. I really thought it was happening with the first two sections of the book, but then when we get to Lowry’s section I feel like we still have so much story to learn. Maybe I’m just not putting all the pieces together, I don’t know. I hope there is a fifth book that brings all the stories to a close.

I love Vandemeer's work and have read almost everything he's written. I like the way he uses stream of consciousness to create complex characters that we often hate but understand. His world building is haunting and inescapable - it has forever changed how i see the world.

All that said- the second part of this book was whack omg.
