A fantastic and witty interdisciplinary book on why we need to be unreasonable sometimes to ensure that we continuously become a more connected, collaborative, and progressive society. The perfect book for me that blends many areas of social sciences to illustrate, with modern and historical examples, the many times what some deemed as 'unreasonable' is actually 'reasonable'. I loved that the book goes far beyond telling us we need to be more tolerant and empathic, but actually asks us to challenge the norms that do more harm than good.

A call to arms to protect ourselves from bigotry and oppression. Who defines reasonableness ? Does being ‘reasonable’ actually help us combat the self-interest of the powerful? What is the alternative? Respect, reciprocity and renewal - and a refusal to engage with those who deliberately peddle malign ideologies.
