I enjoyed the duet narration, with its excellent pacing and emotionally engaging delivery that amplified the slow-burn tension. Henley stood out as a heroine: smart, grounded, and genuinely authentic. The workplace romance was well-crafted, blending witty banter, emotional depth, and just enough spice - light yet swoon-worthy.
Easton's storyline brought depth, as his issues with past trauma and hesitation to let women in made his vulnerability compelling. Watching him gradually lower his defences was one of the story's most rewarding moments.
Overall, it was a delightful, heartfelt read that made me smile. On to book two.

I enjoyed it alot, I love the families dynamic and I especially loved the communication between Henley and Easton. I felt like the third act conflict was a bit silly and that Henley could have shown more understanding for Easton's struggles but other than that I really liked it.

This was a good read! First book I have ever read by this author and I definitely will be reading more! The only thing I didn’t love were some of the side characters. But as I say that, the book as a whole was really good and I enjoyed it.
Do I recommend this? Yes! If you love a good romance book then this one might be a good one for you!

Minor: Mental illness, Panic attacks/disorders, Grief
i am so excited for this new series! i loved this book! it was surprisingly emotional and it felt like easton really understood the importance of taking care of himself once henley came around. it showed how real life relationships can change you for the better and for worse. you can still love and leave room for grief! i thought it was a fantastic way to show that, i just wanted some more jilly. for how upset he was i was hoping for more than just the one happy memory about her but that's just me!

I couldn’t really connect to either main character and the 3rd act conflict seemed unnecessary
